A high yielding bond without the high-interest rates

The Highest Yielding Investment?

God. Is the investment with the highest yield.

Did I catch your attention with the title? And did I maintain it with the photo of dollar bills and stethoscope? What were you hoping to learn from an article like that? And are you pleased or frustrated to discover that this is another post about G-O-D?

I’m starting my fourth week of Exodus 90 and my third week of blogging the journey via this platform. I’ve experimented with naming my posts as they are “Day 1, Day 2, Day 3…” and I’ve experimented with different tags: #Faith, #God, #Catholic, #HealthyMasculinity, and a few others. I’ve done this because when I am not writing, I am reading and searching for other Christian writers. Yet this search for Christian writers is obscured by posts such as: “10 Ways to Get to 1,000 Followers!”, “30 Days to Achieve Wealth on Medium”, or “Learn What Every Single Account Needs” and those are the posts that bite!

Those are the posts that bite!

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men — Matt.4:19

Bait.

Why am I so baited by these lists? Why am I so drawn to these posts that simplify the process? How many more posts must I read to find the answer(s)? Isn’t the most simplified approach God? Isn’t God the single item answer to the desire to be wealthy, to be at peace, to have an article read by more followers, to solve relationship problems, to find yourself?

Yet here I am using a misleading title to catch more readers. What was it that Paul said in his letter to the Corinthians?

Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.

Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible — 1 Cor.9:19

I am making myself a slave to the Medium in order to win as many eyes as possible to Christ. Praying that the yield is high for such a low risk.

Amen †
